Wings Over Whiteman returns this weekend to celebrate 30 years of the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber. The Air & Space Expo will feature the ACC F-22 Raptor Demo Team, the ACC A-10 Demo Team, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights.
Other air acts, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, include a MiG-17, Team Aeroshell, Rifle Airshows, Trojan Phlyers, P-51 Mustangs, T-38 Talons, A-10 CSAR Demo, P-63 Kingcobra, Devil Dog, Vampire DH-115, and more.
The Expo will also feature static displays of a WWII Glider Display, Northrop Grumman B-2 Stealth Motorcycle, Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, Boeing B-29 Superfortress “Doc,” Raytheon T-1 Jayhawk, McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, and more.
A new feature for Wings Over Whiteman this year will be a performance from Raptor, the U.S. Air Force Heartland Band based at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The band will perform between 9 and 11 a.m. both days before air acts begin at 11 a.m.
Wings Over Whiteman will be hosted June 15-16 at Whiteman AFB. Gates open at 9 a.m. and flying starts at 11 a.m. Guests may enter through either the north or south gates for the air show and will then be directed to parking areas on either end of the base. Trams will be running all day to take guests to and from the parking area to the spectator area. Spirit Gate (main gate) is open to DoD ID cardholders only.
