Planet Comicon returns to Kansas City this weekend, with more than 35 confirmed celebrity guests ranging from professional wrestlers to the hottest stars of cinema along with and more than 80 creator and cosplay guests.
Planet Comicon, founded in 1999, brings together fans of science-fiction, superheroes and fantasy for three days of celebrity guests, panels, vendor tables, cosplay events and meeting fellow pop-culture enthusiasts.
The annual three-day event features VIP panels with Jason Momoa, who portrays DC Comic’s Aquaman in the “Justice League” film and will play the character in a self-titled feature due out later this year as well as a panel with the creators of the DC Comic title Dark Nights Metal, Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo and Jonathan Glapion.
The weekend is packed with panels ranging from cosplay how-tos to fan photo ops with celebrity guests to tabletop gaming panels featuring Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder walkthroughs. A full schedule of panels can be viewed at the PCC website here.
In between the celebrity panels, visitors can learn about behind-the-scenes knowledge of their favorite comics and television shows, plus network with fellow writers, artists and cosplayers to improve their respective crafts.
