Changes are coming to the Warrensburg, Mo. tattoo scene as Tony Madrid, owner of Dublin Social Club, has announced the shop is closed via a Facebook post on the shop’s page.
The location, at 126 N. Holden St., will be renovated and reopened as Black Compass Tattoo Company, owned and operated by Adam Warner, who worked at DSC. Warner and tattooist Seth Owens will remain in the space as a new tattoo shop and separate entity from the previous. After renovations to the shop, Warner plans to reopen as a tattoo parlor and art gallery in early September.
In the post, Madrid mentions his wife, Shanda, who did piercings at DSC, will be opening her own studio in the shopping center near the license bureau on South Maguire Street (Highway 13) in Warrensburg called Punktured, which will feature Terra Walker as a tattooist. He also mentions he will still be tattooing at Black Compass by appointment only.
